Downloadable free software, as with any purchasable
software, contains executable files (the ".exe"
file extension). Even though that is standard
and in fact necessary, Microsoft will warn you
away from downloading executable files.
If Windows gives you a message such as:
"Windows has blocked this zipped file from
downloading because it contains one or more
files that could harm your computer",
click on where it says "learn more"
and you can then override this.

RogCAD for Windows (all five versions included)
This runs on any Windows operating system from
Windows 95 through Windows 11.

03/17/2024 Note: Some recent versions of Windows 11
might not run RogCAD for Windows due to Microsoft dropping
its compatibility with software written in the Microsoft
programming language Visual Basic 6.0.
The Visual Basic 6.0 code needs to be converted to VB.net
code. The VB.net interface has been completed, but the
code conversion won't be completed until some time next
winter (2024/2025).
Meanwhile, RogCAD_QB64 remains compatible with Windows 11
and provides everything except for importing photographs
for use as a background for your CAD models.

DOS_instruct.htm is a supplemental instruction
document for RogCAD_QB64 and RogCAD_DOS.
It's also included in the QB64/DOS downloads,
but this online copy is always the best choice,
as minor corrections and notes occur here more
regularly.
RogCAD_QB64
RogCAD_for_DOS style, compiled as an executable using QB64.
This version is actually compiled in C, and therefore
runs much faster than the other versions.
255 on-screen colors -- same as RogCAD for Windows.
Runs on nearly any computer. No DOSBox needed.

RogCAD_QB64 is still compatible with the latest versions
of Windows 11.
See the bottom of this page for dates of minor fixes.

The first two RogCAD_QB64 versions below have the same
data capacity per data-group as RogCAD for DOS, which is
lower than in RogCAD for Windows.
The second pair of RogCAD_QB64 versions are the
high-capacity per data-group, same as RogCAD_Windows.

RogCAD for DOS, compiled as an executable using
QuickBASIC for DOS. Runs on XP operating system
or earlier, or use under DOSBox on any Windows
operating system through Windows 11.
RogCAD_DOS is still compatible with the latest versions
of Windows 11 for the simple reason that DOSBox is still
compatible with the latest versions of Windows 11.
